What is Healing Detoxification?

 

A healing detoxification may occur when an individual participates in a mind body therapy. The symptoms they may experience is called detoxification, and is actually a very helpful sign! It is a clue that the body is on the road to becoming healthier during the invisible changes that are taking place during healing sessions. This is often due to the body suddenly recognizing and eliminating toxins or emotions that otherwise would have still been sitting there.  It is not life threatening and is a temporary situation.

 

"The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.  And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."  Romans 8:26-27

 

How does One Prevent a Detoxification?

We can't always prevent this from happening (Why would we want to?), but we can minimize the affects by:

 

*Knowing and permitting this element of the healing process to happen.  Releasing is much better than suppressing where it can remain and manifest - allow this to be a part of the process to wellness.

*Discussing with your practitioner any concerns or questions and providing feedback is very important so she can help you.

*Drinking plenty of water before and after treatments is a must! Epsom salt baths, extra rest, eating healthy and taking gentle care of oneself can help ease symptoms and faciliate the release and healing.
